Conor is a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, having received his Bachelor of Arts in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Munster Technological University, Cork.
His philosophy is one of simplicity; to relate with clients and their story. Through a process of attunement and listening, his aim is to work with clients as they make sense of their experiences. He helps clients to explore their thoughts, feelings and actions so that they develop a better understanding of themselves. He also assists clients to slowly unfurl the root causes of any emotional distress and in time, to guide clients to find their own solutions for themselves in order to live a fuller richer life.
Conor bases his work on an integrative model, which means that he works from a combined theoretical base using the most appropriate therapeutic approaches for his clients. Conor is trained in, and uses, theories such as: Gestalt Therapy, Neuro-Affective Relational Model, Person - Centred Theory, Internal Family Systems, Transactional Analysis and Psychodynamic
Therapy.
Conor is a Pre- accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and he is happy to work with clients for both short term and long term work.
