Karen is an accredited counsellor and psychotherapist and has over 17 years training and experience in working with adults, teens and children. Karen holds a Hons Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, a Dip in therapeutic Counselling and  a Post Grad in Child and Adolescent Counselling and Psychotherapy.

 

Karen also has specialist training in trauma, anxiety and panic disorders. Karen is an integrative humanistic therapist, which means she draws from a range of evidence-based approaches to suit her clients needs.  Karen provides a safe non judgemental and compassionate space so you can explore and express your feelings freely. Karen will be with you in the therapeutic relationship helping you to make sense of your experiences, your feelings and behaviours so you can live a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

 

Karen will help uncover your strenghts and resources and equip you with coping skills and techniques, you or your child can use in the future to manage life's challenges and stresses.

 

As well as working with adults, Karen works with children from 7 upwards. She has specialist training in working with anxiety, behaviour issues, mood, self esteem and self harm and she works with these issues frequently in her busy practice as well as other issues. 

Using a non judgemental, compassionate and supportive approach Karen's goal is to increase communication, coping and well being for adults, children, teenagers and their families.
